Resonate Artist Of The Week: Elia Davidson
This week’s edition of Resonate Artist Of The Weeks comes in the form of 20 year old singer-songwriter Elia Davidson. Hailing from Dumfries, Elia sprung to our attention with her latest release ‘Driftwood’ which was self-released last week.
Her latest revolutionary track is something so delicate yet so powerful. The maturity in Davidson’s songwriting is really something to behold - far beyond her years. A simplistic plucking guitar & exceptionally cool electronic accompaniment secure the perfect side to let her untold lyrical capabilities.
‘can’t seem to slow it all down
can’t seem to slow it down
fears break the silence
like driftwood upon this shore
keeping me from stumbling’
‘Driftwood’ is the follow up to Elia’s 2016 self titled EP ‘Elia Davidson’. In four short years, it’s abundantly clear Elias musicianship has gone from strength to strength. The most recent release illustrating what we think to be an incredibly exciting young artist who we liken to Haley Heynderick , Maggie Rogers & Faye Webster.
You can listen to ‘Driftwood’ right here and make sure you follow this young Dumfries & Galloway songstress - we can’t wait to hear what’s next.
