RESONATE ARTIST OF THE WEEK : NOAH AND THE THE WEST RIVER BAND

Noah And The West River Band

Our Resonate Artist Of The Week continues into our fourth week and taking home the prize this week is Noah And The West River Band. Fresh from their staunch support slot for Fiskur and Lizzie Reid at Glasgow’s King Tuts on Saturday, the band delivered a quintessentially Americana set.

Think Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats; there’s a unique honesty and sincerity in Noah & The West River Band’s performance. Three part harmonies with frontman Kenny, bassist and drummer left a lasting note in the audiences ears. A real sweet touch. Tracks like ‘Eating Me Alive’ were captivating and would bounce into life with electric guitar solos. It was incredibly evident the high level of songwriting, arrangement and production skill within the band. The delicate tones of Kenny’s voice combined with gentle backings of brushed drums and country bass generated an all round sonically awesome experience.

For me, seeing this band live instilled lots of excitement about upcoming dates and releases. Undoubtably one to keep an eye on this year.

Noah & The West River Band have already been confirmed for 2019’s edition of Eden Festival. We’re confident they’ll be blessing the stages of many more festivals in the future!

STAY TUNED!
