We were blown away by these artists when they debuted on Scotland’s flagship radio programme for brand new music - BBC Introducing Scotland with Shereen Cutkelvin & Phoebe Inglis. That artist is Edinburgh based drum & bass producers Mastaki & Idylist.
Proving themselves as a phenomenal artists/producers working in the realms of drum & bass, grime & garage, Mastaki & Idylist landed a coveted spot on Edinburgh drum & bass label Midnight Bass compilation set for release tomorrow. ‘Fatboi’ - a collaboration between Mastaki & fellow Edinburgher Idylist demonstrate the power in bass. Bold, boisterous & bodacious. Facets of other worlds are introduced through trance-inspired vocals. Heavy bass, breakbeat rhythmic tendencies & layered synthesisers all add to this tracks appeal. We fully expect to see and hear of Mastaki in 2021. Bring on the bass.
