Resonate Artist Of The Week: Peplo

And just like that we find ourselves in the month of October & rightfully taking this month’s first artist of the week slot is effervescent Glasgow-based quartet Peplo. Self-described as ‘a band that cut classic pop songwriting with an alternative edge’ , their latest offering ‘Just To Get To You’ delivers on just that and so much more.

Having shared stages with the likes of Hailey Beavis, Jonnie Common & En Attendant Ana, Peplo have captured audiences since their introduction in 2018 with a succession of superlative releases. Subsequently gaining support from the likes of BBC 6Music’s Tom Robinson, Amazing Radio, BBC Introducing, BBC Rapal amongst others.

Peplo implement their distinct soothing characteristics once again in ‘Just To Get To You’- with lo-fi twangy guitars, expertly crafted songwriting & sumptuous layered vocals from Cit Lennox. Their unfaltering soaring vocals, unequivocal in tone & diction make an exemplary partner to dreamy instrumentation carved out by Daniel Young, Iain O’Donnell & Mark Hinds. For fans of The Cranberries, Freak Slug & Frankie Cosmos.
