Welcome to Resonate’s Artist of the Week. In this second edition we are bringing you an amazing duo from Edinburgh who caught our attention at the end of 2018. Chuchoter have a unique energetic vibe that captures your attention and grips your ears with it’s intricate synths and powerful lyrics. They have went from strength to strength in recent months; performing at Electric Fields festival, receiving radio play and great support from BBC Scotland and were also featured in The Lists Hot 100.
Chuchoter are set to release a their new EP ‘Crush’ in spring 2019 following on from their 2018 release ‘PIECES’ which takes you on an entrancing synth-pop adventure. Crush is an EP that pulls no punches and spares no feelings. Chuchoter hits harder with more fat bass drops and more cutting feminist lyrics than before. Featuring songs themed on manipulation and deceit, this EP acts as a rebellion against the idea of the domicile and ever-obedient woman. The driving rhythms and unique harmonies mix with the raw and exposing lyrics to create a musical experience of resistance and dissent.
