Jenn Nimmo Smith [Electric Shores PR]

Jenn Nimmo-Smith is a PR and communications professional with more than 16 years’ experience working across the music, events and brand industries.

Formerly Head of Press at Chuff Media in London, Jenn founded independent PR agency Electric Shores in 2013 after moving home to Scotland, and has since built up an impressive list of collaborators and clients, including SWG3, Terminal V, Bemz, Soma Records, Slam, Celtic Media Festival, and many more. Just as dedicated to up-and-coming artists and newly launched brands as major label releases and large-scale events, Jenn works on a diverse range of campaigns – all of which focus on telling authentic stories.

Passionate about music’s unique ability to foster connections and bring together communities, Jenn was appointed the Night Time Industries Association’s (NTIA) Night Time Economy (NTE) Ambassador for Glasgow in 2023, a role which sees her work to champion the cultural relevance of the nighttime economy, while campaigning for improvements in representation and local infrastructure. She also organises and hosts events for women working in the creative sector, and lends her experience and knowledge as a guest speaker at a range of industry related events.

Susan O’Neill [Radio Buena Vida]
Along with David Fleming,  Suz is one of the co-founders of Radio Buena Vida - an online internet community radio station based in Glasgow.
Radio Buena Vida exists to champion and support emerging as well as established talent across Glasgow, Scotland and beyond, particularly under-represented music genres and voices.

Martin Low [Discovery Music]

DM was founded in 2017 by myself and now has evolved into one of the biggest music websites in Scotland.  We cover gigs from the biggest venues and festivals right down to the grassroots venues in Scotland supporting tomorrow's next big artist!

Mickey McMonagle  [Dirt Comms PR]

Mickey McMonagle has been at the heart of Scottish media for thirty years.

Arriving in Glasgow in 1995 to kick off eight years of travelling from rave to rave for iconic dance mag M8, he spent his last two years there as editor achieving consistent record circulation figures.

The Sunday Mail headhunted him to launch a new ents mag which was short lived but he spent 19 years at the paper, working across sister title the Record too with roles from Magazines Editor to Deputy Features Editor and the still bewildering Assistant Head of Advance Content. No, no-one knows,

In 2020 with the world ground to a halt, he took redundancy and set up Dirt Comms, the PR agency and brand consultancy he'd built in his head for seven years, putting three decades of media to work for clients.

Less than a year on Olivia Pink came on board and brought youth, ideas and the world of influencer marketing.

With clients from The R&A  to Dean Banks, Glasvegas to The Fratellis, George Bowie to Frazi.er and Limbo to Radisson RED, it's safe to say the many gambles paid off.

Harvey Todd [Musician '/ Music Journalist]
My introduction to the music scene in Scotland was through my role as guitar player in SLIX, where I was able to grow my network and meet loads of industry professionals and helpful people that gave me the confidence to pursue music journalism. Being a member of the band has given me opportunities to play all over Europe in 2024 like Mad Cool Festival in Madrid, Future Echoes in Sweden, WISE Festival in Berlin and more, which has done wonders for my confidence and broadened my network in the music industry.  I began writing about music in 2019 when I was studying Media in college, before creating my own website and brand 'Fanatic Insider'. The site prioritises spotlighting new and emerging artists from all over Scotland, with interview pieces, feature articles and reviews. Recently, I've had chats with Indoor Foxes, Charlie Preston, Bride and more, with some pieces exploring music outside of Scotland through conversations with indie legends Hard-Fi, and Dublin lads Basht. I also regularly write about new music for Tenement TV, and have had articles published in Off The Record. I'm always open to hearing about new music and talking about bands!
