ABOUT

Resonate is a music industry conference focusing on industry training, business development, accessibility and collaboration. Founded in 2017 and directed by the team at 23rd Precinct Music, Resonate is a springboard to prepare Scotland’s music industry talent for international growth and come together, discuss challenges and opportunities to grow the industry for the benefit of all.

Our flagship conference, now in it’s 8th year, hosts an array of panels, workshops, demonstrations, round tables, one to one sessions, and ample opportunity for networking.

With an eclectic mix of speakers worldwide having graced the Resonate platform, including Nick Halkes, Sharleen Spiteri, Seye Adelekan, Alan McGee, Simon Napier Bell, Phoebe Inglis-Holmes, Korda Marshall and Dave Ambrose; the impact Resonate continues to have on nurturing and driving talent beyond Scotland is undeniable. We’ve showcased represenatives from the likes of Notting Hill Music, Spotify, Universal Music Group, Dominos Records, Wasserman Music, Polydor Records, Sentric Music, Musicians’ Union, EmuBands,BPI, CPL, and Help Musicians.

In seven short years, Resonate has supported 40+ artists through the Resonate live programme, a showcase which demonstrates the true strength, depth and diversity of Scotland’s musical landscape. We have welcomed the Sound of Young Scotland Award winner Berta Kennedy to our Resonate stage, as well as the BBC Introducing Scottish Act of The Year Award 2022 winner Bemz, Scottish Alternative Music Award winners Lizzie Reid, and Declan Welsh & The Decadent West amongst many others. 2023 saw likes of The Big Day, Psweatpants, Neverfine, Rory James, Queen of Harps, Cörtne, Crawford Mack, John Rush & PG Ciarlotta take to the stage, aswell as Sentric represented artists Testpress, Spyres, and ili. We offer artists an opportunity to break into the eyes and ears of a diverse music industry audience aswell as providing a tailored mentoring programme.

Resonate 2024 will take place at Platform, Glasgow on the 28th November 2024.
