Resonate Artist of the Week: Co-Accused
While the UK yearns for the return of nightlife, long-standing residents of Glasgow’s prolific underground club scene, Co-Accused, have channeled their energy into establishing a record label that encapsulates what the duo describe as “sonic grooves from another galaxy”.
The duo have launched Co-Accused Records, their own techno and electro orientated label. Featuring a remix from Jensen Interceptor, the label’s debut four-track release ‘Psychonaut Society’ is permeated with the same infectious energy and driving, futuristic techno that fuels their live sets.
The title track, ‘Psychonaut Society’ is a peak-time electro killer that drives listeners on to the depths of the dancefloor, before Australian electro-pioneer Jensen Interceptor steps up for remix duty on track two. With wicked drums and sinister synth work, Jensen employs his signature combination of futuristic and retro influences to inject a darker, menacing feel to the track.
On the flip side, ‘Wormhole Warzone’ is a sonic assault that takes listeners on a hypnotic, relentless techno journey. ‘Restricted Access’, Psychonaut Society’s fourth and final track, is a futuristic electro funk weapon that, like the rest of the EP, has already had full support from the Baron of Techno Dave Clarke.
“We’ve both been residents in Club 69 for the best part of 10 years which is such a special club with an incredible atmosphere. Over the years we’ve been fortunate to play at some great festivals and venues across the country, we can't wait to get back out doing what we love starting with the Slam Tent in the summer"
