Our first Resonate Artist of The Week of 2021 goes to Holly Ann. A Glasgow based singer-songwriter who’s insatiable soothing sonics provide the perfect accompaniment for any occasion.
Latest self-release ‘Limbo State’ is truly marvellous; delicate in its composition and moving in it’s delivery. Soft percussion caresses a multitude of layered vocals all encompassing a sultry almost rumba-esque atmosphere. One thing is not in doubt - the skill and musicianship that Holly Ann possesses. Her inclusion of a question / answer vocal segment from the offset really captures the listener.

‘Limbo State’ delivers on so many levels and it’s surely a sign of great things to come for the young Scottish songstress. We thoroughly enjoyed reflecting on Holly Ann’s previous two releases ‘Back In Bliss’ and ‘Hold Her Safely’ - both sumptuous additions to her catalogue. Her charming abilities reminded us of the likes of Kacey Musgraves, Marika Hackman and Bedouine.
