Resonate Artist Of The Week : Ranzas
We’re back with our weekly instalments of artist of the week. Combing through and highlighting some of Scotland’s most promising and exciting artists. This week, that accolade goes to Ayrshire band - Ranzas.
Fresh off the release of their recent toe-tapping single ‘Sunshine’ - we’ve been checking out the band’s back catalogue. From the sentimental ballad inspired ‘Favourite Song’ to the uniquely adapted rendition of Lewis Capaldi’s ‘Bruises’ - it’s clear Ranzas carry the traits of great indie rock bands like The View, The Courteneers and Last Shadow Puppets.
Ranzas are a four-piece indie fuzz rock band hailing from Ayrshire made up of Lyle Kennedy, Connor Adam, Murray Brough and Julie Dunabie. After Ranzas debut tour in September 2019 playing seven shows across the UK they have grown a stronger fanbase across the UK as a whole. The band have previously sold out venues like King Tuts Wah Wah Hut and The Garage Attic.
Ranzas electric live sets are one to remember! The band have performed alongside artists like; The Sherlocks, Kyle Falconer (The View), The Blinders, Neon Waltz and Red Rum Club.
In these times, it’s more important that ever to support emerging artists. Make sure you check out the latest single ‘Sunshine’ out now on all major streaming platforms
