Resonate Artist Of The Week : Juan Laforet

This week’s Resonate Artist Of The Week is a real autumnal hand warmer. Glasgow’s Juan Laforet released debut solo single ‘Would You Go Back’ a couple weeks ago and we’re taking a moment to celebrate this three & a half minutes of pure joy.

Juan can also be found fronting Glasgow based hazy, swooning psychedelic outfit Quiche who’ve grown to be hometown favourites over recent years and have new music out next week [so keep your eyes & ears peeled]. Those dreamy characteristics are undoubtedly found in this new solo adventure with Juan adopting an effortless laissez-faire approach in his vocal delivery.

Soaked in inspirations of the 1960s, ‘Would You Go Back’ is a present day representation of the Woodstock phenomena. Evoking that effervescent character of the likes of Nick Drake & Van Morrison. Singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Juan is set to deliver his first solo album at the end of this month. An incredibly exciting prospect after the release of this deeply personal & reflective debut single.
