Another week needs another Resonate Artist Of The Week. This week’s celebrated artist had one of the sets of the weekend from 2019’s edition of Doune The Rabbit Hole. Performing to a packed out Whistleblower stage; step up - Melisa Kelly And The Smokin’ Crows.

A wall of sound projected from the tent as we walked past, with a ripping vocal carrying above all else - like a kindred spirit of Aretha Franklin. With a hearty healthy band behind her, Melisa Kelly riled the crowd with her energetic, groovy, solo ridden party set - there wasn’t a single person standing still. A testament to the incredible artistry of all those in the band, the set was flawless. There was even time to squeeze in a fun cover of Moulin Rouge soundtrack classic ‘Lady Marmalade’, which brought the house down. A real showcase of excellent musicianship across the board - wonderful vocal harmonies, face melting solos, vocal runs that would make Carey & Aguilera jealous - there was nothing to fault.
